His engineering background includes system, logic and computer design, semiconductors, design automation, intellectual property, test and packaging. Mr. Birnbaum has been an EDA user, manager, developer, and vendor. His diverse technology experience includes EDA, PCB, MCM, IC, IC packaging, ASIC, SoC, FPGA, A/D, D/A, low power, IP evaluation and electronics quality. He has held Director of Technology, R&D, Engineering and Technical Marketing positions at computer, semiconductor and EDA companies and research labs, including National Semiconductor, Cadence Design Systems, Fujitsu Microelectronics, MIT and MCC. Mark has authored two books and led two standards organizations. His specialties for ThinkBold include strategic marketing, website content reviews, and technical writing of white papers, magazine articles, business plans, and Research proposals. Mark holds a BSEE from Princeton University and MSEE from Northeastern University.
